Instructions to Sell New, Used & Old Version Software

Step 3: Request a quote.

In order to provide a quote, we need the part numbers or upc codes of your software. If you need help, call our customer service line and ask for help locating the part numbers. A quote can not be provided without this information.

If you have more than 5 titles please request a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet template by sending an email to softwarequotes@retrosoftware.net. You will need Microsoft Excel installed on your computer to use this template.

If you do not have Microsoft Excel, you can email an Adobe .pdf file to the above address or fax a list to 248-522-7348. Please include all of the information below including part numbers so we can prepare an accurate quote.

If you have 5 or fewer titles you can use the web form below. An email address is required for a response.

Instructions for form:

• Quantity: Number you wish to sell.
• Title: Publisher, Title and version. Example: Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional
• Condition: New/Sealed = factory sealed in mfg's original packaging. Used/Open = anything else.
• Box/Manual: If the box and manual are not included, we are most likely not interested. By checking the check boxes, you are indicating the box and/or manual will be included. By leaving the check boxes un-checked, you are indicating the box and/or manual is not included and will most likely not be included in your quote.
• Part Number: A quote can not be provided without this information. If you do not know how to find the part number please call for assistance.
• OS/Media: Operating system the software is designed to run on (Windows, Mac, etc.). If the media is anything other than CD-ROM, please indicate type (3.5 or 5.25) here.
• Registered?: Y = Yes, N = No.

Once we receive your list we will ask for clarifications if need be and then supply a quote. We will email the quote to the email address provided. If the offer you receive is acceptable to you, the items can then be sent to us via the U.S. mail. We strongly suggest both insurance and tracking for your shipment. We will reimburse you for the shipping cost up to Priority Mail level. If you choose to use express mail or an overnight shipping option, we will not reimburse the cost of shipping.

When we receive your shipment you will be notified by email and the software will be checked for completeness. If everything is in order you will then be paid either through PayPal (preferred method) or sent a check. You will choose your payment option on the release form (included with quote). If everything is not in order, you may receive a revised quote or your software will be returned at your expense. Normally, this transaction takes approximately seven to ten business days so please be patient. In advance, thank you for your participation in our program!
